It has been just announced that IOI's Jeon Somi cannot perform on KCON France 2016 to be held in Paris on June 2 due to age restriction.
YMC Entertainment said Somi cannot perform on stage because she could not get approval from France.
Mnet, the organizer of the KCON France explained that they did their best to receive permission for Somi regarding the age restriction which is 15 years, but they could not get approval due to time limit.
This news is very unfortunate because Somi is one of the key members of I.O.I.
I did not know she was so young!
On the other hand, the rule requiring permission for performers under 15 years seems to be rational. So, I have mixed feelings about this news.
Anyways, I hope IOI can overcome this misfortune and successfully rearrange their performance even though the time is short.
